St. Paul

This thriving city offers plenty to do and see.

Welcome to St. Paul

St. Paul is the capital of Minnesota and the second-most populous city in the state. With a population of over 300,000, St. Paul has a diverse array of residents from all backgrounds. This thriving city offers plenty to do and see, including easy access to nature, art and museums, eateries, festivals, colleges, cathedrals, and much more. It’s also home to the picturesque Summit Avenue, which comprises the longest preserved Victorian avenue in the country.

St. Paul is neighbored by Minneapolis, resulting in the famed Twin Cities. If you prefer living somewhere a little quieter than Minneapolis, then St. Paul might be the place for you. The city offers residents a suburban atmosphere, a thriving cultural scene, and plenty to do. St. Paul attracts residents from diverse walks of life and is home to working professionals, retirees, and families.

Just because St. Paul is the quieter of the two cities doesn’t mean that there’s nothing to do here—far from it! St. Paul offers residents a colorful assortment of dining, shopping, and entertainment options. To celebrate a special occasion, head over to Meritage. This refined French bistro offers a seasonal menu, an oyster bar, and an extensive wine list. The Lexington is a polished American restaurant that’s famous for its mouthwatering chicken pot pie. For a more casual dining experience, check out Saint Dinette. With classic American fare and creative craft cocktails, Saint Dinette is a neighborhood favorite.

A wide range of festivals take place throughout the year in St. Paul. Grand Old Days has been a part of the community for nearly half a century. This celebrated street party stretches 30 blocks down Grand Avenue and attracts hundreds of thousands of people. Winter Carnival is a family-friendly event that has been around since 1886. Ice fishing and a drive-thru ice and snow sculpture park are just a couple of exciting things to experience here.

St. Paul was the home of the Red Bull Crashed Ice Championship for seven consecutive years. This high-speed, adrenaline-pumping sport features skaters competing in a race to the bottom of a long ice track dotted with obstacles. If you’re looking for a summer event, head over to the State Fair in St. Paul. These twelve days of never-ending fun have something for everyone.
