Either you just purchased one of the luxury homes in Minnesota or you bought your Minneapolis real estate years ago, and it’s been a good home. Now you want to put some real work into it – perhaps upgrade it, update its look, or maybe just to make repairs. Whatever your reason, you need to do your research first to get the maximum return on every dollar you spend.
Home movie theater
Who doesn’t enjoy kicking back, relaxing, and enjoying a good movie? Make movie-watching enjoyable and convenient by building a home movie theater. The key components a big-screen television, and a high-quality sound system are generally reasonably priced. You could go the whole nine yards and have special acoustical work done here and have and movie house lounging seats installed. Then again, you don’t need to go that far. Remember: you have to maximize your investment.
Landscape work can certainly improve the value and the look of your home. Something as simple as having your property mowed and edged by an experienced yard service can improve the look of the space. For a practical and long-term fix, make sure the lawn is properly treated for weeds and fill in bare patches If you have time, have some trees planted strategically for shade.
If you want more than shade, plant some fruit or nut trees. One example of trees that will thrive in Minnesota’s continental climate is apple trees. Other fruit-bearing trees that will also do well for the local landscape are cherries, plums, and pears.
Outdoor living space
Some outdoor structures are good investments for modest sums, like an attractive and properly finished deck. Moreover, it can be shaded by those fruit trees. Even some raised gardens in the backyard can be a good touch, and you can plant with flowers, vegetables, or fruits. One of the most inexpensive structural modifications to your property is a batch of solar lights. These serve to light up the borders of a sidewalk or walkway at night. Opt for the metal options that will last longer than plastic ones.
If you’re considering remodeling your home’s interior, choose the bathroom and kitchen. A new bathroom tub and sink will give a nice, bright, and clean look at a reasonable price. Replacing old wall and floor tiles with new ones can also give warmth and color to a bathroom. You can repaint your kitchen cabinets, too, but if you want, you can totally replace these with newer ones to keep up with the trends.
Upgrading or updating a luxury home doesn’t have to mean spending a huge amount of money, especially if you are trying to make changes pleasing to the eye as opposed to merely fixing structural defects. Spend your money wisely and you’ll be happy with the results.
