CENTINNIAL LAKES PARK

One of the more popular locations in Edina is the 18-hole putting golf course (par 51) in Centennial Lakes Park. The course is only for putters, but if golf is not for you, try the paddleboats that cruise the acres of water there. Other activities here include croquet, lawn bowling, and hiking.

EDINA AQUATIC CENTER

You don’t have to worry about a shortage of activities for children in Edina at the Edina Aquatic Center. The facility is a public water park that has a children’s pool with slides, sprays, and fountains. There is also a surf simulator and a cable ride built like a ship’s bow. For those who don’t want to get wet, there is a dry play area with a towering treehouse.

EDINA ART CENTER
4701 W 64th St., Edina

The Edina Art Center has displays of solo and group art, including pottery, metal creations, and paintings. The center also has an art supply store and studios for rent for those who want to hone their own creative skills. Who knows, your time in the studio may develop into a display in the art center.

EDINA ART FAIR
W 50th Street and France Avenue

The Edina Art Fair showcases art pieces in a less formal setting, specifically along the commercial hub of 50th and France. Held yearly, this outdoor art fair is great for showcasing local talent. Several hundred artists have been featured here with excellent turnouts. There is even a collection of art created by children plus entertainment for the younger crowd, including puppet shows and bounce houses. Parking won’t be a problem here as there is a shuttle system to bring people to and from the art fair.

RESTAURANTS AND RETAIL HUBS

Foodies in Edina will never go hungry with the fine collection of restaurants and bars in the area of 50th and France. Go for wonderful Asian dishes at Coconut Thai and check out their curries. Red Cow will give you an entire spectrum of food and drink choices. And don’t forget to get the house special from Carbone’s Pizzeria.

Edina also has a fine selection of shopping malls, stores, and boutiques where you can find many upscale brands and top-end merchandise. 50th and France also has around 175 retailers in the area, while Southdale Center is the go-to shopping mall for residents.

EDINBOROUGH PARK

It doesn’t matter what the weather is in Edina. In Edinborough Park, the weather is a nice and toasty 70 degrees. This one-acre indoor park features an enormous vertical playground called the Adventure Peak. Any member of the family is permitted to scale its various levels and take to the slides. It also has a series of pathways for brisk walking or jogging, as well as a pool and fitness section.
